Our Bear scouts will be visiting the Caldwell Zoo to complete requirement d of Sharing Your World with Wildlife " " Achievement 5 " in the bear book. This Zoo is in Tyler Texas and has free admission. It is over 60 acres and has animals from North America, South America and Africa. They have a picnic area so you can save on the cost by packing a picnic lunch.
This is a great zoo and I have taken my children there many times. It is about one and a half hours drive and is a great day trip. A trip to a zoo is a great pack activity as well.
You may have to fill out a tour permit to travel the zoo nearest you. I have included a link to find the zoo nearest you.
